Gluten Free Gift Basket

My Mother-in-law has recently developed an intolerance to gluten, and was struggling to adjust her eating habits.

I decided to make her a basket filled with gluten-free ideas. I searched the internet for gluten-free recipes and made her a recipe book. I included some basic recipes (bread, cakes) and some things she could cook for visitors (she likes to entertain!).

Next I bought a few gluten free basics that she would need to make the recipes - flour, breadcrumbs, and some stock cubes. We baked her a small loaf of gluten free bread, and some cakes.

I put these into a small gift basket and tied a big ribbon around it.

This was really fun for me to do - I learnt a lot about gluten-free diets! My mother-in-law loved her gift basket, and now feels she has the skills to cook for herself without feeling deprived.
