1/4 c. milk

Ingredients:

1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cups water
1 cup canned beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

Sauté onion in oil and butter in a heavy skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently, until onion is softened and browned, about 15 minutes. Add flour and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
