Meet The Artist

mom art

Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.
~Pablo Picasso

Tanya first picked up a pencil at the age of three and never really put it down again. She has been an artist her entire life.

Through the years, she has worked with many types of media doing sculptural work in clay, wood, and stone, printmaking and, as well, dimensional collage with found objects.

Other media include: scratchboard, pen & ink, graphite and charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, oil, colored pencil, marker renderings, computer illustration and mixed media.

She is highly skilled as an illustrator, and easily creates fantastic artwork without sources other than her creative mind.

Tanya creates beautiful work quickly, and can be counted on in a rush. Her artistic abilities range from simple cartoons to breathtaking realism, while maintaining her unique style.

She has a great sense of humor, and uses it liberally in her work.

Tanya works as Graphic Designer and Illustrator for Arctic Circle Enterprises in Anchorage, Alaska. Previously she was Director of Marketing and graphic artist for Datem Systems International and earlier she worked for Blaine's Art Supply in Anchorage, Alaska and designed their web site.
