Last Minute and Homemade Gift Ideas

These last minute and homemade gift ideas may be just what you need to wrap up your Christmas plans.

I know you’re busy if you are getting ready to celebrate Christmas, so I’ll make this brief. If you’re like me, you are have more to do than time to do it and more gifts to get than you have time or funds for. Here are my best tips and last minute gift ideas:
  • Family Gift Ideas: A gift that the entire family can enjoy is really a “gift that keeps on giving.” The recipients have the joy of the initial gift and the lasting memory of the time they shared together that you provided for them.
  • Homemade Gifts in a Jar! are inexpensive gifts that you can put together in a few minutes. They are perfect for that person you forgot to buy for, a Christmas party gift exchange or just to add that “one more thing” for someone.
  • Homemade Food Gifts can be your “specialty” or a new recipe that you create and give. We offer just a few ideas to get you started.
  • A great last minute gift for anyone on your list might be an Amazon gift card. You can buy it online and email it or print it…whatever works for you. Instant gift!

I also want to share some of my favorite recipes for Christmas from my Best Potato Recipes website. The first is my Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes recipe. This one saves so much time when you need to get your holiday meal on the table.

Many people love Sweet Potato Recipes for holiday meals. We have lots of variations as well as tips on how to cook sweet potatoes.

Since I’m from Minnesota, and married into a family of Norwegians, we can’t celebrate Christmas without making our favorite lefse recipe. This one gets lots of interest on my Visit Minnesota website.

We will celebrate Christmas in Minnesota and wish all the best to you and those you love.
